RIG CANADA DIRECTOR

DIONNE SMITH

Dionne Smith, a prophetic and apostolic voice in the nation of Canada, was born in the UK but moved to Canada with her family at the age of 10. At the end of 2020, Dionne could no longer deny or delay what the Holy Spirit was calling her to do. It was time to step out of the boat – walk on water or split the Red Sea – either way, she had to cross over to the other side and take Canada with her. As such, during the lockdown in that same year, Dionne assembled a small group of women to pray for Canada on Friday nights at her home, then later coordinated a national virtual prayer, where the nation could join to pray during the 4th watch at 5 AM.

In November 2021, before graduating from RIG School of Apostles and Prophets with honorable distinction, Dionne was ordained and commissioned by Apostles Tomi Arayomi and Greg Gervais. By January 2022, what started as a small group of women who gathered to pray for their nation, gave birth to Ruach Calgary Ministries - a vibrant, apostolic, prophetic, Holy Spirit-led movement in Canada, now known as RIG Dominion Church.

In June 2022, RIG Canada was launched in Calgary, Alberta, with Dionne Smith as Head Director. RIG Canada was birthed from the vision of Tomi Arayomi, founder of RIG Nation in London, UK in 2007. RIG stands for Restoring Issachar’s Generation, a mission grounded in scripture; “Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do.” - 1 Chronicles 12:32. The vision is to restore the apostolic ministry back into the Body of Christ and to equip this generation to be in a position and condition for use by God. RIG Nation now has a growing presence in Africa, Asia, Australia, North and South America, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the Caribbean.

Since the launch of RIG Canada and RIG Dominion Church in 2022, there is a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit, healing, and deliverance in the weekly gatherings, prayer meetings, conferences, and bootcamps. There have also been expansions in ministry, with the launch of RIG Expressions in Creston, BC, London, ON, and Winnipeg, MB.

Apostle Dionne’s assignment, together with RIG Canada and RIG Dominion Church, is to continue to build on what God has already established in the nation of Canada. “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” – Psalm 127:1. The mission is to raise up 7,000 Prophets in Canada and occupy until He comes – Luke 19:13.
